Communities
At the heart of 515Ö±²¥ is our commitment to nurturing a faith-filled environment grounded in the Gospel. Our six Communities are an integral part of College life, fostering a sense of belonging, connection, healthy competition, leadership and service.
In line with new guidance from Catholic Education Sandhurst and following feedback and requests from students within the College, 515Ö±²¥ has commenced a process of reflection and discernment to consider how our current Community names align with this direction and continue to reflect the values and identity of our College.
As part of this process, some Community names will change. While new names will be introduced, the College will continue to have six Communities, and the existing Community colours will remain unchanged. These changes are intended to honour the strong traditions and spirit of our Community structure while ensuring they continue to resonate with current and future generations of students.
The College’s six Communities underpin the Learning Mentor Program and play an important role in supporting student wellbeing and connectedness throughout their years at the College.
Siblings are placed in the same Community, although not necessarily in the same Learning Mentor Group. Twins may be an exception to this arrangement.
Students in Years 7 and 8 are allocated to core classes based on curriculum and timetabling requirements rather than friendship groups.
Due to the breadth of subjects undertaken in the Pathways and Senior School years, there is no equivalent ‘core class’ structure for older students. However, students remain connected through their Learning Mentor Group and Community, ensuring continuity of care and a strong sense of belonging across the College.

Year 7-8 students are allocated to core classes as determined by the curriculum timetable, not friendship groups.
Due to the variety of subjects in the Pathways and Senior School years, there is no ‘core class’ equivalent for older students.
